   Precautions while plastering -

1. Before plastering, pour sufficient water on the building a day in  advance.
2. Make the surface rough by chipping/scrubbing.
3. Use the sand-cement mixture within an hour after mixing.
4. Plastering for the first layer: cement:sand = 1:4.
II layer: 1:6
is recommended.
5. Use Birla Shakti for plastering - its heat of hydration is less.
6. Curing needs clean water. Do it for atleast a week.

Concrete Quality is spoiled due to -
1. Improper water : cement ratio.
2. Use of concrete which is already set.
3. Use of aggregate rendered impure by silt/organic matter.
4. Inferior quantity of reinforcement material.
5. Lack of compaction
6. Delay in transportation of the concrete at the destination
